Petit Verdot is typically a blending grape used in Bordeaux-style wines, but the grapes were so gorgeous that Winemaker Amy LaBelle couldn’t bear to blend them with others. This bold, dry red wine expresses strong floral and fruit tones with a deep tannin structure that leaves a velvety, lingering finish. LaBelle Petit Verdot pairs perfectly with grilled beef, and is also surprisingly good with dark chocolate. Serve just below room temperature.
Aged in French and American oak barrels for approximately 1 year.
May be cellared up to 10 years.
About Petit Verdot: Petit Verdot is a variety of red wine grape, principally used in classic Bordeaux blends. As a young grape, its aromas are likened to banana or pencil shavings. When it ripens, it presents deep tannin structure, bold color and rich leather/violet tones.

About Malbec: Malbec is a purple grape variety that tends to have an inky dark color and robust tannins, which can be balanced through the oak-aging process. The wines made from this grape are often rich, dark and juicy.
Americus is a dry and bold red with savory dark fruit notes and loads of pepper on the palate. A blend of Cabernet Franc and the French hybrid grape Noiret, the rich tannin structure pairs well with grilled meats & heavier dishes. This is winemaker Amy LaBelle’s answer for a bold & full-bodied red.
Aged in French oak barrels for approximately 1 – 2 years.
May be cellared up to 10 years.
