LaBelle Winery

A Note from Amy & Cesar

May has been such a joyful month so far at LaBelle Winery.  We have been privileged to host many celebrations for families and friends in our community.  From seeing beautiful weddings, to celebrating retirements, customer appreciation events, to bridal and baby showers, the winery has seen it all and we are so thankful that you have chosen to come share your momentous occasions with us.  Many of you know that it took us 4,083 days to open the doors on our beautiful new facility, and our mission from the very beginning has always been to bring our community together through food, wine, education & celebration.  Thank you for allowing us to be a part in your lives.

Inside Look into Winemaking

Oak barrels are coming to LaBelle!  All of our oak aged wines have historically been fermented over oak cubes (pieces of barrels) vs. aged in oak barrels.  Winemakers all over the world recognize that this method, although not traditional, is very comparable to the aging process that has occurred over centuries and does not impact the final wine.  In addition, it allows us to bring you oak-aged wines at the best possible price point.  This year we have made the decision to begin aging some wine in traditional oak – the first of which will be our Americus!  We are excited to embark on the age-old process of barrel-aged wines and invite you to come and visit our wine cellar for a first look at the new additions, which should be delivered from France by mid-July.

Bud Break – it’s official!  LaBelle Winery has experienced bud break, and now the growing season begins.  Baby grapes are already evident on most of our vines.  These spectacular baby grapes have survived the winter, broken through the buds & are now flourishing.  Each different grape variety has a distinct look & design.  We think they are magnificent!  Take a look at this miracle here.

The newest art installation from our partners, McGowan Fine Art, has come to the Gallery at LaBelle!  Come see the fabulous artwork from Ellen Davis & Susan Jaworski Stranc from now until August 3rd.

We are grateful that Ellen Davis will also attend our June 13th Wine Dinner & engage LaBelle guests in a walking tour of her artwork.
