Amherst, N.H. – Edward Ceccherini, executive chef at The Bistro at LaBelle Winery, recently announced a new seasonally-inspired spring menu for the restaurant as well as a Mothers Day brunch menu and Mothers Day dinner specials. These menus all feature a selection of upscale classic French bistro and American dishes created in large part using locally grown and sourced products. LaBelle’s wines and “The Winemaker’s Kitchen” culinary products are focal points and are used as often as possible in dish preparation.

The spring bistro menu includes several new entrees including porterhouse-style lamb chops, rubbed with The Winemaker’s Kitchen Steak Seasoning and accompanied by The Winemaker’s Kitchen Jalapeño Wine Jelly, and mint. The Cocoa Barbecue Chicken is seasoned with a cocoa spice rub and glazed with Red Wine Cocoa BBQ Sauce, a new product in The Winemaker’s Kitchen line.

Mothers Day bistro dinner specials will be served from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. These include coq au vin (a half-chicken braised in LaBelle’s Granite State Red wine); a grilled veal porterhouse served with LaBelle’s chamboursin port-style wine sauce; and grilled salmon glazed with LaBelle’s Seyval wine and The Winemaker’s Kitchen Blood Orange Marmalade. The Mothers Day Grand Brunch Buffet, available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be served in the winery’s Great Room. This buffet features classic brunch items like eggs Benedict and steak and eggs, along with holiday-inspired dishes such as a seafood frittata and double chocolate waffles. New England farms and producers that The Bistro at LaBelle Winery and Event Center sources products from include Julie’s Happy Hens in Mount Vernon, N.H.; North Country Smokehouse in Claremont, N.H.; Common Wealth Poultry Co. in Gardiner, Maine; Contoocook Creamery at Bohanan Farm in Contoocook N.H.; Grafton Village Cheese in Grafton, Vt.; King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vt.; and Blue Ledge Farm in Salisbury, Vt. In season, The Bistro at LaBelle Winery also sources directly from its own 1-acre farm planted at The Vineyard at LaBelle Winery.
