Americus is a dry and bold red with savory dark fruit notes and loads of pepper on the palate. A blend of Cabernet Franc and the French hybrid grape Noiret, the rich tannin structure pairs well with grilled meats & heavier dishes. This is winemaker Amy LaBelle’s answer for a bold & full-bodied red, sourced from grapes grown in a cooler climate. Compare this wine to a Shiraz.

About Cabernet Franc: Cabernet Franc (along with Sauvignon Blanc) is one of the parent grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon. It produces wines similar in style to the more famous Cabernet Sauvignon, but lighter bodied, with less tannin and more aroma. It can have herbaceous (green pepper) aromas.
About Noiret: Moderately cold-hardy grape created from a complex cross in 1973 at Cornell University and it withstands temperatures to -14 °F. Noiret produces wines with a deep red color, good tannins, and unusually robust pepper overtones.
Americus – Winemaker’s Reserve
Our limited release LaBelle Winery Americus Winemaker’s Reserve is a deeply layered and voluptuous result of Amy LaBelle’s French barrel experiment. Eager to delve into true barrel aging, the barrel program began in 2014. The results were even more beautiful than she imagined. In this wine, barrel aging adds complexity, mouthfeel and bigger tannin flavor to our already-loved Americus, creating this premium red wine, which boasts lots of pepper on the palate and rich red fruits. steaks on the grill, or age to see how this gorgeous wine develops.
Our blueberry port, Anthology, celebrates the winery’s long history of making fine wine from blueberries. Winemaker Amy LaBelle’s first batch of wine ever made was a Blueberry Wine. The winery has since created a Dry Blueberry wine and a Semi-Sweet Blueberry wine. Now, Anthology rounds out the line. A deep, complex, after-dinner wine, this wine displays rich structure & body. Anthology was made with New Hampshire blueberries and blended with apple brandy & New Hampshire maple syrup. Excellent for sipping on its own or with a cheese course after dinner.
New England’s favorite flavors come together in this crisp, refreshing wine bursting with 60% New Hampshire & 40% Massachusetts produce. Our Chardonnay finds balance in both body and style. Winemaker Amy LaBelle blends the traditional Chardonnay grape with the cold-hardy Vidal Blanc; creating a wine true to our New England fruit. LaBelle Chardonnay is not over-oaked, aging only briefly in French Oak. Malolactic fermentation, a secondary fermentation that converts malic acid to lactic acid, lends a buttery nose, while crisp acidity and floral tones are demonstrated due largely to the addition of the Vidal Blanc. This blend is a wonderful complement to any poultry or seafood dish.
A beautiful marriage of our gold medal award winning wines Seyval Blanc & Red Raspberry, Corazon is a unique, blush wine that is versatile enough to enjoy on its own or with a meal. An off-dry wine, Corazon is excellent with poultry or seafood, and, of course, during all romantic occasions… We recommend drinking this by candlelight! Compare this wine to a dry, French Rosé.

About Seyval Blanc: Seyval Blanc is a French hybrid grape that ripens early and thrives in cooler climates. It is planted in England, Canada, and the northeastern United States. The grape produces crisp white wines with citrus notes.

Made from 100% New England cranberries, this wine’s brilliant red color and bright flavor entice, while the flavor compliments a wide variety of food pairings. If you like Pinot Grigio, you’ll love this wine! Small batches of our favorite apple varieties are fermented immediately after pressing at a low temperature. This preserves the fruity freshness, yet lends a crisp calvados nose to our flagship wine. A wonderful aperitif, this wine is also excellent with seafood, poultry, light meals, or to balance a creamy, heavy one. Drink this dry wine as you would any white wine. Best chilled.
