Amherst, N.H. – To celebrate its fifth anniversary at its Amherst, N.H., location LaBelle Winery will host a black tie gala on Feb. 10, 2018 from 6 to 10 pm to benefit charities serving local children and youths, including Empowering Angels, a nonprofit founded by LaBelle Winery co-owner Amy LaBelle in 2017. The gala, which is open to the public, will be held at the winery’s Amherst event center and will include valet parking; formal photography; a four-course surf and turf dinner; raffle; live music by Do I Do; and dancing.

Tickets for the gala are $125 per person plus New Hampshire tax and gratuity. They can be purchased on LaBelle’s Winery’s website.

In the event of inclement weather, the gala will be moved to Feb. 11 from 5 to 9 pm.

Empowering Angels aims to introduce young women and girls to the world of business, empowering them to think like entrepreneurs and consider the possibility of someday starting their own businesses. The organization calls upon community mentors to coach young girls in their journey toward a future career.

Last summer, LaBelle hosted a two-day workshop at the winery for girls age 11 to 13 where they learned sales, marketing and business development skills, how to write a business plan, and had the opportunity to work with several female business leaders.

“To be able to celebrate our fifth anniversary while giving back to our community is a true joy and very reflective of LaBelle Winery’s core of charitable giving,” LaBelle says. “We can’t wait to raise a toast with our LaBelle community.”

A portion of the proceeds from the gala will also support Girls Inc. of New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization that encourages all girls to be “strong, smart, and bold” through direct service and advocacy; and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s New Hampshire Tomorrow initiative, which is working to help New Hampshire’s kids achieve greater success by investing in four proven areas: early childhood development, family and youth supports, preventing and treating drug and alcohol use, and creating affordable pathways from education to career.
