We’ve outgrown our home and we’re building a new LaBelle Winery!  We’ve received lots of questions about our big project, so here are answers to a few commonly asked questions about this construction:

1. Where exactly is the new Winery?
The Winery’s new address will be 361 Route 101, Amherst, NH.  This is only 6 miles from Route 93 near the Bedford town line.  The building will sit high atop the Bragdon Farm hillside, next to the Amherst town sledding hill.

2. Who’s designing and building the new facility?
• Architects:  BMA Architectural Group
• Construction Management:  Fulcrum Associates
• Funding:  Enterprise Bank

3. What are the details of the new buildling?
The 20,000 square foot new construction will consist of approximately 9,900 square feet of manufacturing space for the winery, 5,000 square feet for the elegant event center, 1,500 square feet for retail and tasting room space, a barrel room, two terraces, and a private function space with its own terrace.  The timber frame construction building, which will sit high atop the Bragdon Farm hillside, will be surrounded by vineyards producing five types of grapes for winemaking, and other farmed items such as herbs, peppers, onions, and tomatoes, all to be used in winery-produced products.

4. What kind of events will be held at the new Winery?
The new Winery’s event space will seat 200 people for banquet events such as weddings, meetings and celebrations, and also will provide the location for LaBelle Winery events such as 5 course wine pairing dinners, Guest Chef events, cooking and winemaking classes, art exhibits, a music series and other similar events.

5. Will the Winery have a restaurant?
The Tasting Room will serve light fare that will compliment the wines and cocktails that will be served in its dining area and accompanying outdoor terrace.

6. Will the new LaBelle Winery have a vineyard?
Yes, there will be two acres of the following grape varieties:
• Noiret (red)
• Chancellor (red)
• Seyval Blanc (white)
• Petite Amie (white)
• Cayuga (white)

7. What’s happening to the current winery building?
LaBelle Winery will be closing its current Chestnut Hill location once the new winery is open.  Our current Chestnut Hill  location is now closed to public as we focus our efforts on the construction of the new winery.  Upon the opening of our new Route 101 winery, the chestnut hill location will be fully closed.
Though our winery is currently closed to the public, we will be hosting two special Open House events in summer 2012 on June 30th & July 28th at our current location on Chestnut Hill to satiate your taste buds until the Grand Opening of the new LaBelle Winery in early Fall.

8. When will the new winery open?
We are scheduled to have a grand opening in Summer 2012.  We’ll have a more specific date as the project progresses.

9. Are you taking away the Amherst Sledding Hill?
No, the Sledding Hill at Bragdon Farm is our next door neighbor. When snow comes to New Hampshire, you’ll probably see us out there with our kids, too!  Parents, feel free to stop by the winery after sledding to warm up and sample our wine!

10. Is the winery hiring?
We will need to hire more employees as our new facility nears completion, and will begin accepting applications in Spring 2012. You can fill out our Join the Winery form to be considered for a job with us.
