About LaBelle Winery
Tours and tastings are by appointment only.
LaBelle Winery is situated atop Chestnut Hill in Amherst, New Hampshire. We set out to make a wine that is enjoyable – that brings together family and friends around a table to revive the spirit of community. We also hope to demystify the winemaking process through educational opportunities, both hands on and through seminars.
Our wines reflect the orchard spirit and are made with apples and other fruits, grown in New Hampshire. The fruits are picked at their peak and then pressed and fermented the same day, resulting in an exceptionally fresh, balanced wine. While fermenting at very low temperatures to retain the fruity qualities, we pay close attention to our acid and residual sugar balance. The results: fresh, crisp, fruity wine that is easy to drink and enjoy with friends and family. LaBelle wines are bottled with as little filtering as possible, and in some cases no filtering, to preserve the wine’s natural quality. We would love to share our passion for winemaking with you! Drop us a note or stop by if you would like to learn more!
About Amy LaBelle, Winemaker
Amy LaBelle has been a corporate attorney for 12 years in Boston, Massachusetts and Merrimack, New Hampshire, but her lifelong interest in wine lead her to open LaBelle Winery to pursue her passion for winemaking. Amy is attracted to the agrarian lifestyle and the elegance of making excellent wine. Amy makes each and every bottle of wine produced at the winery, and has slowly seen her dream realized: to make the best wine she can make with locally grown fruit and to produce a wine that will bring together family and friends to enjoy. LaBelle wines are elegant, enjoyable, easy drinking wines, made with the best and brightest local produce. Each bottle is filled with Amy’s love for the ancient art of winemaking. Amy lives in Amherst, New Hampshire with her husband, Cesar, who assists in the winemaking effort and manages operations at the winery, and their newest winemaker, their son, 8 month old Jackson Alejandro. Amy is grateful for the support of her Mom, Dad and sister and her many friends who encouraged her to realize her dream and who help around the winery every chance they get!
