Our Story

LaBelle Winery is a distinctive, award winning winery and vineyard located on the historic site of the former Bragdon Hill Farm in Amherst, NH.  We set out to make a wine that is enjoyable – that brings together family and friends around a table to revive the spirit of community and friendship. We also hope to demystify the winemaking process through educational opportunities, both hands on and through seminars.

Our wines reflect the orchard spirit and are made with grapes and other fruits all grown in New Hampshire or New England.  The fruits are picked at their peak and then pressed and fermented the same day, resulting in an exceptionally fresh, balanced wine. While fermenting at very low temperatures to retain the fruity qualities, we pay close attention to our acid and residual sugar balance. The results: fresh, crisp, fruity wine that reflects closely its original fruit and that is easy to enjoy with friends and family. LaBelle wines are bottled with as little filtering as possible, and in some cases no filtering, to preserve the wine’s natural quality. We would love to share our passion for winemaking with you! Drop us a note or stop by if you would like to learn more!

  2. Back in early February, my husband enjoyed sampling some of your wines at the Hannaford in Luneneburg MA. The wines we tasted were delicious, and the Labelle representative was quite knowledgable. I am very interested in visiting your winery to learn more about what you do!

  4. We bought a bottle of the Blueberry wine last week at a farmer’s market while we were on vacation in NH. The wine was great! Wish we had bought more. We’ll have to check out your winery next time we are in New England.

  5. Any chance you’ll be adding a restaurant or some sort of food element? That would truly make this a top destination for anyone in the area.
