LaBelle Winery

A Note from Amy & Cesar

The weather is heating up and the winery is bursting with activity!  We have already been able to hold our Cooking with Wine Class out on the back terrace overlooking the Vineyard, experienced our first Yoga in the Vineyard of 2014 with Pubali from Bikram Yoga Manchester, hosted Live Music Thursdays on the Terrace, with many smiling faces enjoying LaBelle wine, lunch & dinner out by our fire bowl.   It thrills us to see the community come out & enjoy the winery as much as we do!  Thank you all for your continued support; our best wishes for a summer filled with lazy days & time to look at the stars.

Cheers,
Amy & Cesar

New Wine!  Dry Pear

Bring in a copy of this email or show it to us on your phone or tablet in the month of June to try a complimentary sample of our brand new wine, Dry Pear!  Winemaker Amy LaBelle has always wanted to experiment with this delicate and extraordinary fruit to create an everyday dinner wine.  We are thrilled to announce the release of this delightful, dry white table wine made from 100% Pear, whose fruit comes to the winery from New YorkThis wine may remind you of a light, unoaked chardonnay with just a hint of pear at the finish, with a gentle underlying clove tone.

Yoga in the Vineyard

Yoga in the Vineyard

Our first outdoor Yoga in the Vineyard of the year was a huge success!  We had 27 yogis come to practice in the sunny vineyard with Pubali Chakravorty Campbell of Bikram Yoga Manchester and many stayed after class to enjoy a glass of wine & lunch in the Bistro.  Please join us for any or all of the upcoming classes by registering today.

LaBelle Vineyard News

In our first year of grape harvest, it’s important to keep the nutrients focused & concentrated on growing the canopy and the top half of the fruit on the vines.  By pruning the lower half of the grape buds we allow the carbohydrates from the sun & rain to concentrating and build a strong vine canopy & fruit clusters.  In early June, the vines have already begun to grow up and out and they already have lively leaves and buds.  The baby grapes are evident and on their way to producing our first batch of estate-grown world class wine.

LaBelle Winery Wins Gold!

LaBelle’s Red Alchemy was awarded a Gold Medal in the Red Blends category at the 37th Annual International Eastern Wine Competition & Riesling Championship! Our Red Alchemy is a blend of three grapes, Baco Noir, Noiret & Corot Noir, and tastes full of fruit, spice & woodland notes with a medium body, and can be compared in taste and texture to a Shiraz. The Noiret Grape grows at LaBelle Winery in their Pedroso Vineyard, and is one of Winemaker Amy LaBelle’s favorite grapes with which to work because of its bold & peppery tones.  We also won a silver medal for our much-awarded Americus and a bronze medal for our Riesling in this competition.
